Free Parenting Support Services in Queensland
Queensland families have access to a generous range of free services — from phone helplines and midwife check-ins to family support centres right across the state.
Whether you're in Brisbane, Cairns, or a regional town, Queensland has built a solid network of free support for parents and carers at every stage. Here's what you can access.
Parentline Queensland
Parentline QLD is a free, confidential telephone counselling and support service for parents and carers. Whether you need help with a parenting challenge or just want to talk things through, trained counsellors are available seven days a week.

Family and Child Connect
Family and Child Connect covers all of Queensland with 17 services and over 200 family support programs. It connects families with the local support they need — from parenting programs to practical help managing life's challenges. It's free, confidential, and open to all.

Child Health Line (13 HEALTH)
Queensland's Child Health Line is staffed by child and family health nurses and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's ideal for health questions about children aged 0–5.

Connecting2u
Connecting2u is a free, opt-in SMS service for Queensland parents and carers. It sends weekly wellbeing tips and development guidance throughout pregnancy and during the first five years of your child's life. A lovely, low-effort way to stay informed.

Ellen Barron Family Centre
The Ellen Barron Family Centre in Brisbane is a residential centre that supports parents to build practical skills and confidence, particularly around sleep, settling, and early parenting challenges.

Triple P — Positive Parenting Program
Queensland has long supported Triple P as a free program for families. Online programs are available to all Queensland parents with children under 12. In-person and group programs are also delivered through community providers across the state.
